LinkedIn Fake Relationships

Business relationship scams are growing faster than romance scams

You get a message on LinkedIn, from someone who claims to be just starting out in your industry – seeking your advice.  You become flattered that someone is asking you to mentor them.

You eventually get to know each other and move the conversation to a personal device like your mobile phone.  The scam begins!

Requesting to continue your chats to a personal device is a warning.  End the conversation and Report the conversation to LinkedIn and block the user.
